Sports memorabilia, celebrity autographs, art and more were auctioned off Friday night to help fuel the legacy of an actor who gave life to one of the world's most beloved castaways.
Guests filled the second floor of Gary Bowling's House of Art so they could bid on items up for sale at Denver Foundation Christ-mas Wish Celebrity Auction.
Founded by the late Bob Denver, known to millions as Gilligan of "Gil-ligan's Island," the foundation aids families with special needs children.

The Denver Foundation hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year, the Christmas Wish Celebrity Auction, Friday night at Gary Bowling's House of Art.
The auction included celebrity memorabilia from some of the most famous stars of our time.
A familiar face to Gillian's Island fans and a personal friend of the Denver family, actress Dawn Wells who played Mary Ann in Gillian's Island came from Hollywood for the event.

The many flags Tusculum College displays in its Niswonger Commons have been increased, with new flags of country's representing the college's foreign students added in a ceremony.
Five new flags were added to those that represent current students and alumni.
The ceremony was held last Friday as part of the College's "International Education Week" activities.

MEDFORD—Mary Ann O'Brien's successful bid for the Burlington County Freeholders seat has left a void on the township council, putting the spotlight on the Medford Republican County Committee to find a suitable replacement.
O'Brien, 50, who won a three-year term with the freeholders earlier this month, has two years remaining on her council term.
Once she officially steps down from the council, the county GOP committee will have 30 days to insert her replacement, according to officials.

VALPARAISO | American Red Cross Porter County Chapter hosts the second annual Festival of Trees set for noon to 8 p.m. today and Friday.
Trees will be on display at Old town Banquet Center, 711 N. Calumet Ave. A live auction will also be held at 8 p.m.
Friday and the winners can take home the tree of their dreams.
